Zoo Knoxville

The zoo may sound like a strange choice if you’re not from the area, but there are countless awesome sights and animals here! From tigers to pandas, you’ll be amazed at the incredible interactions you can have with live animals here.

Knoxville Zoo puts a heavy emphasis on ensuring that animals are well cared for and have a high quality of life. This ensures that every visit to the zoo will be as close to seeing these animals in the wild as possible!  

Knoxville Museum of Art

Take a break from looking at Knoxville real estate, and check out the Museum of Art! This museum is a fantastic modern showcase of regional artists. Although it’s being updated right now, it’s creating a more welcoming and spacious area where you can enjoy the works of artists from the city and surrounding areas. These are both modern artists who are still creating art and those that made art here before they passed away.  

Ijams Nature Center

Nature is one of the most exciting parts of any city. It’s nice to see that we still have so much greenery and parkland available, giving us the chance to explore and breathe in the fresh air. The Ijams Nature Center is a  park including a quarry, a river, and countless walks and trails. Not only can you hike here, but you can also bike, camp, and enjoy a nice picnic depending on the mood you’re in! This is an awesome destination for anyone.  

World’s Fair Park

At home on the site of 1982 fair, the World’s Fair Park is home to the Tennessee Amphitheater and the Sunsphere! These giant buildings allow you to see how hopeful Knoxville was for the future and how excited it was to introduce the world to everything the people here were capable of. Although the World Fair isn’t coming back any time soon, this is a great place for concerts and events! 

Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum

Nature and garden displays are a must for any greenery fan! The Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum guide you from garden to garden, with old stone buildings that show how long these grounds have been kept. The plants here are an assortment of local native plants and ones brought in internationally, depending on what looks fantastic together. This is a great space to learn about nature.
